Under the guidance of Emily Needham (President) and Mac Lang (Treasurer), the Ohio State undergraduate PPE Society was recognized as a chapter of the international Philosophy, Politics & Economics Society, based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which organizes many PPE-related events each year and is working to build a network of chapters.
The recognition letter from PPE Society director Geoff Sayre-McCord stated, in part:
"The PPE Society at The Ohio State University is hereby officially recognized as a local collegiate Chapter of the Philosophy, Politics & Economics Society. We look forward to working with you in the spirit of [international] collaboration to cultivate a community of people interested in using the tools and insights of philosophy, political science and economics, to understand the world in which we live. Our hope is that such a community can and will play a role in producing well-rounded future leaders, policymakers, and citizens."
Congratulations to our PPE Society!
